The Commissioner stated this as he declared open the 180 Day Performance Improvement Programme (PIP) workshop and launching which was held on Friday 1st November, 2019 at the Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the State of Osun Governor on Water Resources and Energy; Engr. Ibitoye Felix Adeniran has charged management of the Osun State Water Corporation (OSWC) to make potable drinking water available for consumers within and outside Osogbo, the state capital as this was in line with the state development plan of the Gboyega Oyetola administration.
The SA explained that the state governor; Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola had set out to make clean drinking water available to every home in the state and the onus rests on the state water corporation in bringing it to pass.
He also stated that the government of Gboyega Oyetola and his cabinet were the policy maker while the workers should see themselves as architects in order to achieve the supply and distribution of clean potable drinking water for the citizens of the state.
Engr. Ibitoye observed that the only way to obtain more benefits and fight for better welfare of workers is for them to take their work seriously adding that if business continued as usual, achieving a headway may be impossible.
He warned that workers lateness will not be tolerated and all forms of lackadaisical attitudes should be done away with.
According to him, for efficiency, the staff of the state water corporation should be productive, proactive, smart and truthful to their bosses and superiors.
"Convey your challenges to your bosses, follow the instructions of your superiors, be sincere and don't be lazy.
"Don't bring personal problems to work, disregard envy, take pride in your work and be sensitive in the management of information", he added.
In his remark, the General Manager of the state water corporation; Engr. Isola Lawrence Ogunsina hinted that though lots of work in regard to water supply and distribution had been done in the past 100 days, the expected results had been low.
The GM also urged all staff to double their efforts in order to achieve results, raise funds and increase Internally Generated Revenue.
In his words, "I implore you to consider the business as personal rather than government because success will enhance autonomy.
"We should adopt hardwork as a principle to succeed together.
"I expect that in the next 180 Day Performance Improvement Programme, efforts would have been improved.
