The activities of the State of Osun Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, Barr. Olaboopo, during the week.

The activities started with a meeting with the staff and management of the Ministry and a familiarization tour round the Ministry, where she charged the Management and Staff to operate efficiently.

The commissioner attended the 19th National Council meeting on Women Affairs held at Akure, Ondo State in company of the Permanent Secretary and some Directors in the Ministry.

Her attention was drawn to some 3 homeless girls who have been roaming the street of Akiriboto, Gbongan without any care. She stepped in immediately by giving direct order to the director of social welfare to look into the  case for necessary actions and intervention. The Ministry was able to locate the children and their mother   and appropriate steps have been taken. The Ministry will continue to monitor the social welfare of this family.

The Honourable Commissioner also received some socio-political groups and distinguished individuals who paid her courtesy visits and promised their support to her.
