The event which happened to be the first of its kind in the history of the Ministry, had in attendance: all staff members, Rector of Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr. Olaniran, the Provost of Ila Orangun College of Education, Professor Oyewole and the school Librarian, Mrs. Atayese Y.A. of the state's higher institutions of learning. The programme was also attended by clergymen, friends, educational partners and other well wishers.
In his prayer and admonition, Pastor Jokotola, charged all staff members of the Ministry; as well as others in attendance to continue their prayer and support for the government of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the Ministry. He also wants the people to pray for the Commissioner and the SA's success in office. He also admonished them to imbibe the lesson and spirit of the season, the Lord Jesus Christ behavior, live in unity, love, peace, harmony and cooperate among one another.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Hon. Jamiu Olawumi used the opportunity to thank Almighty God, the staff for their support for the government. He also used the opportunity to educate the staff on what the government of Oyetola is doing and will continue to do. Among those things are the payment of salaries as at when due, without forgetting to remind them of the relentless efforts and impacts of the government of Osun on the Civil Servants, the state and the people, and most important the educational sector in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Dr Festus Olajide in his reaction, praised the Almighty God for making the program a reality. "We have a course to glorify God for the season. Also, we thank the government of Osun for the support and efforts on the Civil Servants in the state. He implored the Civil Servants to be loyal to the government and demonstrate total allegiance to the State of Osun," he said. While thanking Lord for the ingenuity in Hon. Folorunsho and Hon. Jamiu Olawumi for bringing numerous transformation to the Ministry.
Lastly, the Hon. Commissioner thanked all staff members for theirsupport and co-operation over the last two months. "We are indeed indebted to the Almighty God for the opportunity given to us to serve the state and Mr Governor. As we can't also thank the staff members and our educational partners enough. God has been faithful to me and the SA. "I discussed with SA and we agreed to organize this program for the Ministry. We are not an instrument of the devil. I wish you all merry Christmas and Happy new Year in advance". He said.
