The State of Osun Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Co-operative and Empowerments Dr. Bode Olaonipekun, greets the former governor of the State of Osun and the standing leader of the All Progressive Congress APC Chief Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande, on the celebration of his 81st birthday.
The Commissioner made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo, State of Osun Capital.
He describe Chief Bisi Akande as a great motivator, an Awoist, true democrat and an elder statesman with intelligibility sense of purpose.
The Commissioner noted that Baba Akande’s achievements coupled with his sacrifices in public service at both state and national levels has distinguished him.
As the first Interim Chairman of the APC, Dr. Bode Olaonipekun affirmed that the former governor’s pivotal and visionary leadership prepared the party for history in 2015, which saw it unseating an incumbent president for the first time in an election in Nigeria.
Shifted his lexis by encouraging the youths to emulate the Sterling qualities in Chief Bisi Akande, amongst which are sacrifice in service, integrity and mentorship.
He prayed that almighty God would grant Chief Akande longer life, good health, strength and wisdom.
