Ooni Announces Support for Women in the State of Osun

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has pledged his support for women in the State of Osun. His Imperial Majesty stated this while interacting with the Honourable Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo during a courtesy call paid to him by the Commissioner to seek his support and collaboration diversely in respect of empowering and protecting the interest of women in the State.

While expressing his joy at receiving the Honourable Commissioner, he identified his efforts on women in the areas of health, empowerment and general well being. The foremost Royal father loudly announced his interest and commitment to further touch the lives of women by partnering and collaborating with the State Government through the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs.

In the company of the Honourable Commissioner were Hon. Mulikat Abiola, the House Committee Chair on Women Affairs, Mrs. Oyegbile, wife of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Sanitation, Mrs. Foluke Amere, wife of the former House of Representatives member representing Iwo, Pharmacist Omolara Ajayi, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, Mrs. Adedayo Adeaga, Councillor (former), Odootin Local Government.
