Osun Government Committed To The Welfare Of Her Citizens- Olaboopo

State of Osun Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo today paid a welfare visit to an abandoned woman whose case trended on social media recently. Aminat who got burnt in a fire incident which occured in her house was hopeless, without care and at the point of death when a good samaritan trended her on social media. The State Government upon notice, immediately swung into action and rescued her.

While discussing with the  Head of Nursing Services, the Honourable Commissioner hinted that the State is ready to arm the woman with vocational skill and provide her shelter upon discharge from the hospital. 

She appreciated the efforts of the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu and the magnanimity of the Governor, Alhaji Isiak Adegboyega Oyetola.

While interacting with the lady, the Commissioner expressed her happiness at the woman's state of health. She reiterated that the government is committed to the welfare of the citizens. 

In the company of the Honourable Commissioner were the Director, Child Development Mr. Jide Falade, the Director Women Affairs Mrs. Ruth Omoloye, the Director, Social Welfare Mrs. Adegoke and the Senior Social Welfare Officer of the Ministry, Mrs. Bunmi Aderinto.

Honourable Commissioner was received by Mrs. Atanda, the Head of Nursing Services, LAUTECH, Ward managers and nurses. She was taken round the female wards where she checked on the welfare of inmates and gave cash gifts and provisions to all.
