Famodun commends Oyetola over intended massive road construction projects

State of Osun chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has lauded the resolve of Governor Gboyega Oyetola-led administration to make life more abundant for the people of the state through his readiness to construct and rehabilitate 54.3 kilometre of roads spanning across the three senatorial districts in the state.
Famodun in a statement issued by his Media Consultant, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today, stated that the mode of the distribution of the intended road projects was a proper way of benefiting all the classes of people in the state.
The state APC chairman hinted that the N5.245,729,794.95k massive road construction projects would definitely improve the socio-economic status of the state as there are so many positive advantages derivable from them.
Famodun who congratulated the people of the state on the development disclosed that it was a tip of the iceberg from the numerous yet-to-be-unveiled people-oriented programmes of Governor Oyetola's administration.

It was the observation of the APC state chairman that apart from the fact that the road projects would make life easier for the people of the state, it wouldn't be an overstatement to submit that the road network would help to decongest traffic within and outside the state.
He stated that the bedrock of any meaningful development is availability of good roads which Osun would soon be blessed with through the ceaseless efforts of Oyetola to transform the state.
Famodun said, he was particularly dazzled by the expected manner of financing of the road projects which would benefit all the senatorial districts in the state.

"The manner of the financing of the intended road construction and rehabilitation projects, Contractor-Financing-Project under the Alternative-Project-Funding Approach(AFTA), is an indication that our state is blessed with a deep thinker who is desirous to achieve his goal with humane tendency.

"I shall be failing in my duty as the chairman of the party in government in our state if I don't remind the people of our state to continue to pray for the Governor Oyetola-led administration as everything needs prayer for prompt accomplishment", Famodun counselled.
The five affected roads for construction and rehabilitation are Ada-Igbajo 13.15 km road; Akindeko-Awosuru link road via Adejumo Street, Adewale Street with loop to WAEC road in Osogbo, the state capital, and rehabilitation with complete overlay of 25.8 km Army Barracks(Ede)-Ara-Ejigbo township road.

Others are 8.10 km rehabilitation with complete overlay of Moro-Yakoyo-Ipetumodu-Asipa-Ife/Ibadan Expressway junction and 4.38 km Ereja Roundabout-Ereguru-Isaare-Oke Oye-Sabo(Irojo)-Ilesa_Akure Expressway junction.
Famodun pleaded with the communities who are yet to taste out of this Oyetola's demonstrable dividends of democracy, adding that "the state is a work in progress".
