Kujembola thumbs up Oyetola over senatorial road projects

The Chairman of Atakumosa-East Local Government Council Area of Osun State, Hon Femi Kujembola, has stated that the recent N5 billion road network earmarked for construction and rehabilitation across the three senatorial districts in the state by the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola is a very good step in the right direction.

Kujembola said, the kind gesture of the governor in the area of the road construction and rehabilitation would ease the act of governance at the grassroots as such is a showcasing of tangible performance of the government.
The council chairman disclosed further that the road project issue is a sure way of extension of dividends of democracy to all the strata of the society as nobody can do without making use of roads.

He hinted that the gesture would bring a sense of satisfaction to the electorate who have been yearning for measures to improve their lives.
It is also the belief of Kujembola that the proposed road projects would go a long way in hiking the economic status of the people of the state as a good road confers high prices on land and house rents.

The council chairman is also of the conviction that the subsequent positive effect of this to the government is a sharp rise in the amount of derivable revenue at both local and state levels of government.
In Kujembola's words: "The vehicle owners would spend less on their repairs and maintenance while reduction of the hitherto high transport fares in some cases would be the order of the day.

"I want to passionately appeal to all my co-council chairmen to show interest and commitment while the road projects are being executed in order to ensure that standard and quality work is not compromised in the interest of what we all swore to serve diligently and conscientiously.

"For instance, it won't be outside our brief if we (council chairmen) form independent monitoring committees who will be carrying out inspection of the projects in our respective domains, afterall it is our projects to be executed for the use of our people", the council chairman said.
The Atakumosa-East council boss disclosed that he had made up his mind to make this world better than the way he met it.
