Oyewo sympathises with fire victims in Osogbo

The Deputy Chairman, House on Water Resources has sympathised with the government and people of the State of Osun over the fire incident that gutted some shops in Popo along Oja-Oba in the ancient town of Osogbo.

In a statement released by his media office, the lawmaker said he was shocked by the incident.

Oyewo expressed regret over the early morning fire outbreak that claimed the means of livelihood of many traders.

“It is with heavy heart that I received the news of the fire outbreak that gutted some shops in Popo Area of Osogbo.

"I commiserate with the victims of the fire for the disruption of their economic activities as a result of the unfortunate incident.

"I also empathize with Government of the State of Osun, and the Ataoja of Osogbo, HRH, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, Osun Central APC Senatorial Chairman Hon. Adeoye Adelakun Over the unfortunate incident.

“I want to appeal to the people to remain calm and law abiding as the government of the state looks into the situation with a view to bringing succour to the victims", the lawmaker said
