Aragbiji receives accolades over COVID-19 palliative, as agents deliver food items at people's doorsteps

With obvious ecstasy, residents of Iragbiji in Osun State have extolled monarch of the ancient town, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV over his humanitarian succour as food distribution agents went to every nooks of the city to deliver the Oba's palliatives.

The beneficiaries whose countenances were unequivocally expressive of their happiness, commended Aragbiji for the palliative gesture.

The gesture initiated and facilitated by the Aragbiji through notable and well wishing sons and daughters of Iragbiji is meant to be a succour to ameliorate the effects of the ongoing lockdown order in the state on the people.

The distribution of COVID-19 food items to over 3,500 households which commenced a couple of days ago is still ongoing, as agents handling the distribution will today resume work.

The beneficiaries who appeared unaware of the succour as agents visited them in their homes, amidst prayers, expressed their profound gratitude to the Oba.

Oba Olabomi however, urged the people to embrace home-farming as COVID-19 stay-at-home order of the state government continues.

He also exhorted residents of the state to ensure proper training of their children and wards especially as they continue to be out of schools, adding that they should find a school in their homes with their parents as their teachers.
