The crisis we learnt was sequel to his attempt to force himself on the party executives despite his failure and defeat at the November 2018 Governorship election in the State.
There have been allegations of high-headedness, incompetence, embezzlement and lack of trust in Adagunodo leadership style with major allegations of working against his party for a particular candidate of the same party who couldn't cling the party's primary ticket against Ademola Adeleke the junior brother of the Party's paymaster.
With all these crises and trauma being faced by Hon Soji Adagunodo, one would have sympathize with him to prevent the unthinkable but he seems to have taste for political pettiness.
As much as I would have loved to neglect the so called press release from Adagunodo, certain areas of his release caught my attentio and i would like to prevent the public from being infected by SOJI-20 virus in his attempt to find his voice back to political relevance and probably impress his party members.
I call on our Honourably stripped PDP party Chairman, Soji Adagunodo to subject himself for an internal sanitizing political procedure and seek help to survive the persistent request to vacate the office by his party members so as to allow proper internal democracy before nose-sniffing into opposition affairs while his house is riddle in perpetual political imbroglio.
Until then, his political views lack competence let alone questioning political appointment made by Governor Isiaka Oyetola of the State of Osun.
To set the record straight, the appointment of Comrade Amitolu Shittu is the best that could happen to AMOTEKUN outfit considering his pedigree and connection across the country and the world. The new DG of AMOTEKUN is a respected and renowned human rights activist of outstanding profiles in human rights movement in Nigeria. Moreso, Comrade Amitolu Shittu's efforts, contributions and inputs in returning Nigeria to a democratic government cannot be over emphasized and his doggedness and stance in fighting for human rights has earned him global recognition.
Therefore, I wonder whether Hon. Soji Adagunodo speaks from his failed leadership perspectives or a desperate attempt to impress his party and consequently rally fresh support in order to remain in office as the party's Chairman whose leadership abilities and competencies have be discarded like a used tissue.
The State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and Comrade Amitolu Shittu (DG AMOTEKUN) have no history of violence and never a customer to social miscreants, none have any link to political thugs as claimed by Hon Soji Adagunodo. However, if the needy on the Streets are the ones referred to as State boys by Hon Soji Adagunodo, then Comrade Amitolu Shittu will continue to do more because his love for helping them is natural and special.
What Hon. Soji Adagunodo failed to mentioned was his party's role in major political violents recorded in the history of the State of Osun under their leadership. I think the relevant security agencies need to carefully x-ray the media release of Hon. Soji Adagunodo as a potential threats to Governor Isiaka Oyetola's efforts in ensuring a peaceful and violent free State where crime of any form is a taboo.
I understand that the appointment of Comrade Amitolu Shittu has sent a major fear into the spine of the leadership of the opposition who sees him as a threat to their violent political trades. Amitolu Shittu remains incorruptible and none partial with zero tolerance to hooliganism, violence and political thuggery.
The DG of AMOTEKUN is out to serve everyone with all sense of responsibility, fairness and is committed to working with relevant stakeholders, agencies, groups among others to achieve a crime free State where you and I can continue sleep without fear.
The era of harassment, intimidation is gone. Anyone, irrespective of political affiliation with no intention to commit crime has nothing to fear about Amitolu's appointment. The DG is poised to deliver on the mandate given to him beyond fear or favour.
Hon Soji Adagunodo should know that it is too early to express fears of his party's possible loss of future elections. Rather they should focus on giving reasons to the public why they are desperate to return to power with no clear manifesto.
However, it's pertinent to mention that if all Hon Soji Adagunodo-led executives main strategies is to unleash violent at any point in time for political relevance or create tensions of any sorts in the State, the present administration will not hesitate to take a decisive decision in the best interest of the people and the State.
I, therefore, call on Hon Soji Adagunodo to immediately desist from creating unnecessary distractions and perhaps get busy by enrolling for courses in effective leadership and constructive political opposition practices.
