The Honourable Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, State of Osun, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo rejoices with muslims in the State on the divine grace granted them to usher in and witness the holy month of Ramadan.
She urged them to use the period to pray for divine healing for the State, Nigeria and the world at large.
Barr. Olaboopo said Ramadan signifies a unique period when Allah answers Prayers and forgives all iniquities, she therefore charged everyone to seize the opportunity of the uniqueness of the month to seek the face of Allah emphasising that God is ever ready to listen and accept genuine prayers.
She added that it is a period for sober reflection for everyone, urging that people should embrace the lessons of the month of Ramadan by sharing with the needy.
The Commissioner while charging the populace said ''as our people indulge in this religious exercise, they must be conscious enough to abide by government directives through maintaining of the required social distance, engaging in personal hygiene and using of face masks and other protectives in order to curb the spread of the pandemic''.
She wishes all Muslims a fulfilling and rewarding fasting exercise; Ramadan Kareem.
