Osun Government Condemns The Violation Of Women and Children's Right.

The Honourable Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo has condemned the unruly behavior of police officers in Iwo Local Government who were shown in a video assaulting, molesting and harassing a woman.

The Commissioner emphasises that the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola holds women in high esteem and despise the maltreatment of women.
She added that under no circumstance should a woman be subjected to inhuman treatment and that the State has in force, the Law on Elimination of Violence against Persons 2007. She reiterated that law enforcement agents should learn to work within the ambit of the Law mentioning that there is no Law empowering police officers to beat women. She assures the public that the matter shall be investigated and concerned officers brought to book.

Barr. Olaboopo urged the citizens to be their brother's keeper and  should keep an eye on their children to shelf them from paedophiles. She urged parents and relations not to overburden children with house chores during this break mentioning that children have a right to leisure.
