Ramadan Greetings: Aragbiji Charges Muslims on Self-reform, Urges Faithful to Appease God Over COVID-19

As Ramadan, which is the ninth month of Islamic year, when Muslims do not drink or eat anything between sunrise and sunset commenced, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV has extended his pleasantries to all Muslim faithful in Osun, Nigeria and all over the world.

As contained in a press statement issued by his media assistant, Jimoh Olorede, the monarch charged Muslims to eschew all vices and immoral behaviour during and even after Ramadan.

He urged them to ensure self-reform and spiritual purity in their obedience and total submission to the Will of Allah, by fasting and praying to the Almighty.

The Aragbiji also appealed to Muslim faithful on the dire need to pray fervently and appease Allah, the Most Merciful, who according to the monarch, is the Only and last Resort, who could put an end to the ravaging coronal virus pandemic.

As stated, Ramadan is not only for fasting, but also for dedication and self-sacrifice by abstaining from drinking, eating and physical needs from dawn to late evening for twenty-nine or thirty days.

"The best contribution Muslims can make to assist governments, especially as countries all over the world are striving to find a solution to the deadly coronal virus is by using the grace provided by this holy month of Ramadan to seek the benevolent face of God for global eradication of COVID-19", the release stated.

"May Allah be pleased with the holiness of this month, protect you against the deadly virus and ease your hardships and shower you with loads of peace and prosperity", the monarch prayed.
