Ramadan: Osun Commissioner For Political Affairs, Akeju, Felicitates With Muslims Faithful.

The State of Osun Commissioner For Political Affairs and Inter-governmental Relations, Hon. Taiwo Akeju, Felicitated with the Muslims faithful in the State and the nation.

This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen in Osogbo today, he said the greetings followed the sighting of the lunar month of ramadan to mark the beginning of the Holy Month, noted that since fasting symbolised internal cleansing and spiritual renewal, the country could benefit tremendously from prayers of the faithful during the period.

He called for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

According to the Commissioner, Islam is a religion of peace that upholds the values of tolerance and mutual coexistence without a place for hatred and violence.

He, therefore, urged Muslims to use the period to build a relationship of friendship and harmony with fellow citizens of other faiths.

Irrespective of varying degrees of challenges confronting our clime, we  must be consistent in our resolve to submit ourselves totally to the will of Allah, and put our hope unto him only.

There is no doubt that the  world is presently facing the menace of ravaging virus of scary trend; may we continue to be fervent in prayer and solemnly comply with precautionary measures of safety.

He said: “It is my prayer that Allah accepts the earnest prayers and sacrifices of the Muslim Ummah during this Holy Month."
