It was gathered that the cattle rearers, who came from 'nowhere', attempted to settle down at the community with their cows, even without the consent of the residents.
This effrontery was met with a stiff resistance from the people of the community, and when the Amotekun Secretariat got the hint, its men swung into action, to avert crisis amidst covid 19 pandemic and was able to settle the issue amicably.
As at the time of filing this report, the Fulani cattle rearers had moved their cows out of the community.
Responding on behalf of other residents, the chairman, landlord association of Ogidan/Iroko-meta/Uniosun community, Mr. Adebayo, appreciated the efforts of Amotekun corps, state of Osun, to prevent avoidable crisis in the area; describing Amotekun's civil approach as highly commendable.
In another development, no fewer than six motorcycles of erring Okada riders were today impounded by Amotekun corps on patrol.
The Okada riders, who defied the total lockdown order, were intercepted along Asubiaro/Oja-Oba/Oke-baale axis carrying passengers.
Their motorcycles were subsequently handed over to officers on duty at Oja-Oba Police divisional headquarters, at Oke-baale, Osogbo.#
