Osun Government Pledges Support To Non Government Organizations In The State

The Government of the State of Osun has pledged support to Non Government organizations in the State.

The Honourable Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs Barr. Rianat Olubukola Olaboopo made this assertion during a meeting with the representatives of the association.

The meeting was a long one full of deliberations and discussions on the challenges facing the NGOs in State.

The Honourable Commissioner expressed her pleasure at having them. She appreciated them for choosing to serve humanity through their care for the people. She expressed the State's willingness to support and assist them. She mentioned that the State is working at seeking International agencies and development partners to key into the social welfare scheme of the State while assuring  them that their agitations would be looked into, she pleaded with them to fulfil their obligations to the State.

The president of the forum of NGOs in the state Mr. Ejalonibu Ezekiel and Mr. Segun Oduyebo appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for taking note of their contributions to the welfare of the less privileged in the state, they promised to commit to the service more.

Present were the Permanent Secretary Pharm. Omolara Ajayi,  Directors and the NGO desk officer in the Ministry, among others.
