Owonikoko's death was broken in the early hours of today.
The Oba-Oke born politician had been battling with a protracted ailment before he succumbed to the cold hand of death.
In his condolence message, Comrade Amitolu Shittu described late Owonikoko, as a grassroots politician who understood the plight of his people and always showed commitment to their welfare.
The Osun Amotekun boss commiserated with the family of Owonikoko, the people of Oba-Oke, Olorunda North LCDA and State of Osun as a whole over the death of the man of the masses.
He therefore prayed Allah to grant Hon. Quodri Owonikoko Aljanat fridaus and give his people and government the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.#
