The Council of Rural Traditional Rulers in the state of Osun has declared its total support for Amotekun Operations in the state and passed vote of confidence to the pioneer Director General of the corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu.
The Royal Fathers, led by Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi-- Arowotawaya, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa, who is the chairman of the council; were on solidarity visit to Comrade Amitolu Shittu, at his residence at Asubiaro, Osogbo.
Speaking on behalf of the team, including Oba Adeyemi, the Alakola of Akola Ijesha; Oba Adeyeye Olumolu, Imo of Igbara Ijesha; Oba Tajudeen Adekoya, Alado of Ado Ori-Oke, Ejigbo; the leader of the delegation, Oba Arowotawaya, lauded men of the Amotekun Corps, for their excellent performance and patriotic zeal within the very short period of appointment of the Director General.
The monarchs therefore pledged their continued support for Amotekun Corps, State of Osun to continue to deliver in its mandate of riding the state of criminals and economic saboteurs.
Responding, the Director General, Amotekun, State of Osun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, appreciated the traditional rulers for their fatherly support and patriotism; saying the corps would not relent in discharging its constitutional duties, with the support of the Royal fathers and members of the public.
