Amotekun Osun intercepts 2 truck loads of marble stones, arrests 4 illegal miners

A team of Amotekun corps, State of Osun, led by its Director General, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, last night intercepted two truck loads of marble stones being transported by suspected illegal miners, at LAMECO area of Osogbo, the state capital.

Each truck was occupied by a driver and motor boy, who said they were conveying the precious stones from Oba-Oke, in Olorunda North LCDA, state of Osun, to Lagos.

The four men also claimed they were registered miners.

However, findings from authority of the LCDA indicate that their claim was false and mischievous.

As at the time of filing this report, the two truck loads of marble stones have been impounded at the state police command and the four men handed over to the command, for further investigations.

In his reaction, The DG Amotekun Osun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, expressed displeasure that some people still engage in economic sabotage; calling on residents to always alert the state security outfit whenever they observe any suspicious movement or activity in any part of the state of Osun
