EID-EIL-KABIR: Kolawole greets Muslims, calls for God's intervention against COVID-19

As Muslims all over the world begins the celebration of this year's Eid al-Adha, a front line community leader in the State of Osun, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, has sent his warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria particularly that of Osun.


In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, in his country home, Modakeke, area of the State, the topnotch educationist described the Eid al-Adha as an important occasion in Islam which among many others demonstrated Allah's benevolence and love for mankind. 

He called on Muslim global community to use the occasion of this year Eid-eil-kabir to beseech Allah for His intervention to bring the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the entire world to an end.

The Oluomo of Modakeke message reads;

"I felicitate with our Muslim brethren all over the world particularly that of our dear State of Osun on this important occasion"

"We must thank Allah for bestowing us the rare privilege to witness yet another Eid al-Adha, it is because Allah wishes that is why we are alive today considering many things that have happened within last year and now, we must continue to thank Him"

"This celebration is a special going by the unavoidable restrictions and ways of life introduced by COVID-19, I urge everyone to do everything with moderation and in accordance with the existing NCDC and the State of Osun emergency public health protocols" 

"This trying period all over the world is temporary and there shall be a remedy soon. While we are trusting on world researchers to have a breakthrough, it is also instructive not to forget the place of the benevolence of Almighty Allah to help alleviate the hardships brought by the pandemic"

"We must continue to be pious and ensure that we extend our kind gestures to our neighbours"

"I wish everyone a happy celebration" he concluded.
