State of Osun Commissioner For Commerce, Industry, Co-operatives and Empowerments, Dr Bode Olaonipekun, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) on the successful celebration of this year Olojo Festival, the commemoration of the Ile-Ife, the land of expansion, was a divine heritage and symbolic spiritual pilgrimage to ensure the place of memory in the history of Africans and the Diaspora, to reawaken the consciousness, to re-valuate and re-claim their ancestral origins or roots.
He made this known on Saturday in a statement made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, the State Capital.
He described His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) as a wonderful king who has transformed and exposed the ancient town to the world since his assumption to the throne of his forefathers.
According to him, "the Olojo festival commemorates the descent of Oduduwa to Ile-Ife and it is historical tied to ogun, the quintessential deity of iron and truth, who was the father of modern Science, the Olojo festival was meant to commemorate the period Oduduwa and hundreds of other deities descended on the earth.
The Ooni of Ile-Ife His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), is always committed to the development of human beings, irrespective of social status or political learnings."
"Like a rainbow, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) has reflects, refracts and disperse influence as a result of his sterling leadership as the Ooni of Ile-Ife which by default secures for him huge followership anywhere he treads.
