The charges read as, on Sunday at about 4:28pm, there was complaint about a woman who molested her daughter at No 8 Adekola street Akeju Area off technical college, Osogbo because the said lady Miss Gambo Alimat refused to an early marriage according to the wish of her mother and grandparent, a distress calls was made to CDRPNIGERIA a human rights organization by a neighbor in the area, while the organization send two of their representatives in person of Comrade Adejumo VP Micheal and Comrade Mustapha Fatima Nana to the area for investigation to the allegation leveled against the woman, on getting to the scene of the incident, the CDRP representative met with the mother, daughter and grandparent to know the fact, Comrade Adejumo and Comrade Fatima discovered that the hand of lady has been burn with hot water by her mother and she also used solvel to hit her head, because her daughter disagreed to get married at early age and not to complete her school again. The matter was reported to the Dada Estate Police Divisional headquarter, where she was apprehended by the police on Sunday and detained till Monday morning before charged to court by the police for Molestation, Maltreatment, Assault and Occasion arm.
In his ruling magistrate Olayade of Court 4 at High court premises Osogbo, ruled that the woman be released on a basis that her daughter be given to relative on a request that the daughter refused to live with her mother again, she was released to Gambo Amodu, who is the younger brother to the mother of Alimat. Mr. Gambo who resides at Kasmo Area oke baale, Osogbo.
