Osun APC commiserates with NUJ over member's death


The All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun has commiserated with the Nigerian Union of Journalists in the State over the demise of one of its members, Folakemi Alonge.


In a press statement signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary of the party, Wole Adunola, described the demise of Alonge as a sad and devastating one.


The ruling party condoled with the immediate family of the deceased and members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists both in Osun and Nigeria at large. 


The statement reads, 


"Our party, the All Progressives Congress, received the demise of Folakemi Alonge with a huge shock, her death was a sad one but who are we to question Almighty God just as we all have our date with death"


"Alonge was a dutiful journalist and a very pleasing personality who was always found on the right side of history all through her years in the civil service, the NUJ family, and her private life"


"There is no doubt that she will be missed by her family and every individual who had the reason to interact with her"


"We pray that God grant her eternal rest, preserve all she left behind, and grant her family, friends, and loved ones the fortitude to bear the huge loss, the statement concluded.
