The State Government of Osun through the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs has put smiles to the faces of its people by lighting up their communities: Olorunda/Temidire, Egbeda Road in Iragbiji, Boripe local government.
The communities never experienced these type of electricity.
The department of rural development in the ministry reiterated that they have the directives of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to ensure that communities across the state are lighted up, hence Olorunda/Temidire communities among others being part of the beneficiaries for the the "Light Up Osun Community Scheme".
Chief Jimoh Ojeniran, Baale of Olorunda/ Temidire community, appreciated Governor Oyetola for his kindness of turning their community from darkness to light, he added that history will not forget Oyetolas landmark projects.
"I am the most happiest person on earth today because it is during my reign that electricity enters the community" Baale said.
He prayed for the successful tenure of the Governor and also promised total support of the community for his re-election for second time in office.
In her remarks, Mrs Musili known as Iya Ero Arike, also thanked Oyetola for counting the community among the beneficial Communities in the "Light Up Osun Community Scheme",
She was met in a jubilation mood as at the time INMT correspondent got to the community and she used the opportunity to appeal to Governor Gboyega Oyetola to consider the community for schools, as well as Primary health care center, pledged support and mobilization of people for the second term bid of governor in office.
Hon. Wale Adebayo, Personal Assistant to Osun Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who represented the Governor at the light up scene urged the people of the Community to make sure that there is proper monitoring and protection of government's property in their axis.
He implored them not to relent in doing their part for the government by paying their taxes regularly in other to assist government to do more for them.
Other dignitaries present includes Engr. Babatunde, Chief Adeoye (Baale Oke- Iragbiji), IleriOluwa New Media Team (INMT) led by Coordinator Popoola Opeyemi Utility among others.
