The Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Hon. Sola Oladepo, has described the death of Senator Bayo Salami as a rude shock, saying that with his exit, the State of Osun and the Osogbo community in particular had lost a patriot and one of its finest titan.
Oladepo said this on Friday morning in a statement, titled: " Salami's Passing, where hateful death put on his ugliest mask". He described the late Osogbo-born political cynosure as tenderhearted, selfless, suave and progressive to the core.
Oladepo, while praying that may Allah grant Senator Hamzat Adebayo Salami enternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaos, noted that the Olorunda State Constituency will forever miss the one time Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who was also was the candidate of the National Republican Convention in the 1991 keenly contested gubernatorial election in Osun State.
