A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in the State of Osun and an Aspirant in the last APC primary to represent Obokun State Constituency, Hon. Prince Adeyeye Adeyemi Akinson, has sent out a very powerful message to Muslims in State of Osun, Nigeria and across the world on the commencement of Ramadan fast.

Akinson message is contained in a statement issued by him on Monday.

In Adeyeye Akinson message to the people of the state and country on the beginning of the Ramadan, he said fasting is not just merely meant to stay hungry or thirsty, but an opportunity to strive for inner purification and self-accountability.

“It is meant to inculcate righteousness and discipline,” he said.

Adeyeye Akinson enjoined fasting Muslims to increase their love for humanity, acts of charity, kindness, generosity and gratitude. He says the Holy Prophet Muhammad used to spend very generously on the poor and the needy during this period, and urges Muslims in the country and all over the world to copy the good example.
