20000 PDP supporters decamp to APC in Ede

A total of 20000 members of the People Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday, decamped to the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ede South and Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State.

The decamped members were led by a business tycoon, Hon. Raji Taoheed (AKA Zobo) and Hon. Azeem Adebowale.

While receiving the new members, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, the Osun State party Chairman of the party, commended the leadership of the party in Ede North and Ede South for working assiduously hard to ensure that the party's structure is not eroded in the area.

The party Chairman stated that the party's number one mission in the state is to ensure that the party wins the forthcoming governorship election in 2022.

He equally thanked the new members of the party for their timely understanding and for finding the party worthy, adding that the APC is a party for all where no one will be marginalized or intimidated.

On his part, the representative of the governor at the event, Hon Ajibola Famurewa Chairman Osun SUBEB, said that for such a number to decamp into the party's folds, shows that the party and Governor Gboyega Oyetola are performing wonders in the State.

He urged them to be steadfast, saying that the battle ahead is a tough one but the party will come out victorious in 2022 governorship election.

In his address, Amb. Adejare Bello, promised to deliver the town for APC in the next election and he also promised that the party will win with wide margin.

In their separate speech, the decampees, Hon Raji Taoheed (AKA Zobo), described All Progressive Congress as a party of the people and his motive to join the party is to work for the re-election of the performing Governor Gboyega Oyetola for the second term.

Hon Azeem Adebowale also described his move to All Progressive Congress as a move to work for the re-election of governor Gboyega Oyetola for second term but not contest for an election, because governor Gboyega Oyetola is performing wonders in all sectors in the state and these confused him that the governor mean well for the state.
