Senator Dr Ajibola Basiru of Osun Central Senatorial district has reiterated the need for all members and faithful of the All Progressives Congress to work towards the unity of the party ahead of subsequent elections.
The federal lawmaker stated this during a meeting with all the stakeholders of Osun Positive Force (OPF) across the State.
Urging members of OPF and by extension, the generality of APC in the State to be involved in activities that could foster unity and engender cohesion within the party, Senator Basiru emphasised that in fighting within the fold of the Progressives is an ill wind that would blow anybody no good.
"I have good rapport with all the leaders of our party across board. We meet and talk. I inform them about my programmes. My focus is simply unity and strength of the party which will result in success in subsequent elections."
Senator Ajibola Basiru advised members of APC against washing their linen in public and making barbaric and caustic remarks about the leadership of the party. He encouraged members of the OPF to be more active in the activities of the party.
