As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu has congratulated Muslims in the State, across the country and in the Diaspora on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha, urging them to emulate virtues of love, sacrifice, perseverance and humility.
Amitolu in a message released by his Assistant Head of Media and Publicity, Comrade Yusuf Idowu, on Monday in Osogbo the State Capital, described Eid-el-Adha as a special occasion.
The field commander of Amotekun Corps, who urged Muslims faithful in the State to continue to live in harmony with believers of other faiths, said that good neighborliness was among the several lessons the Islam taught and exemplified.
While wishing the good people of the State of Osun and indeed all Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Adha celebration, Amitolu charged residents and especially Muslims to use the opportunity of the occasion to engage in more prayers and also in acts of love, especially by reaching out to the less privileged.
He reiterated the commitment of Osun Amotekun Corps to tackle crime in the State, he urged the general public not to abhor criminals but they should expose them on time to security agencies before they start terrorising the residents of the state.
He wish all Muslims Allah's blessings, guidance and protection.
