A suspected arm robber disturbing the motorist traveling along Osu/Ondo Express way, has been apprehended by the joint patrol team of Osun and Ondo Amotekun Corps in early hours of the day.
According to the information gathered, the suspect were arrested when trying to perpatrate another robbery along the road with other gang members, the Amotekun who are on surveillance around the axis saw them operating on the road, when sighting Amotekun personnel they ran into the bush and one of them was apprehended where others escaped.
Recalled on Tuesday 28th, 2021 midnight, J15 vehicle which was coming from Lagos State with 2 passengers inside with full load of valuables was attacked at OSU/ONDO Express way.
The personnel of the corps who are on patrol during the yuletide season rescued the victims and dislodged the arm robbers, the arm robber ran into bush when sighting Amotekun, the corps rescued 1 passenger and the driver of J5 vehicle still at large.
The arm robbers who used stick packaged as guns to operate in the highway, the Amotekun who recovered the stick guns from them and the valuables stole inside the J15 vehicle.
The suspect confessed that he has been operating with others on the road for a along time before luck ran against him.
They recovered stick gun and other valuable from the suspect.
