The Kuse Community at Ido-osun today held the 1st end of the year and award ceremony, in recognition of the dedication and commitment of the members of the community who has contributed meaningfully to the development of the community and it's environs.
In his welcome address by the Chairman Planning Committee of the event, Hon Olusanjo Fajobi Fajoe.
The speech read, "It’s my greatest honor and pleasure to heartily welcome you all , on behalf of the Executives and planning committee members to the 1st End of the year and award ceremony of Kuse community 2021. I return all Glory , honour and adoration to the most high God for making today’s event a reality and for sparing our lives to witness this epoch making event.
."Kuse community came into existence exactly 2 years ago after boundary adjustment from Ido osun palace and installation of Oba Oluwasanjo Ogunlade as the Olu of Kuse. Ever since then, landlords and occupants have been meeting and working in one accord to develop and put in place initiatives that will make the community grow rapidly. The first meeting was held on Sunday 15th January 2020 where I was appointed as the chairman with three other executives to run the affairs of the community. To the Glory of God today, the community has been duely registered as a member of Community Development council in the state of Osun, a formidable central executive with zonal Coordinators have been put in place. Which implies, the community has been unanimously zoned into 6 (A-F). Also, series of achievements were recorded in the last 2 years with the support of God and members of the community.
Some of which are:-
A. Opening of community bank account
B. Appointment of zonal Cordiantors
C.Road maintenance
D.Extension of electricity
E. Grading of community roads
F.Responding to emergencies
G.Construction of culvert.
"Recently, The community has embarked on a special project- Procurement of New Transformer, this is as a result of shortage & irregular supply of electricity. It is important to state that, we have been pairing a transformer with Onibu-Eja, our neigbouring community but due to rapid development and influx of more people into the two communities, the existing transformer can no longer sustain us. Several efforts have been made and we are still doing so but we deem it fit to raise fund to make it more easier and faster. This has been a great task as each house was levied with a sum of 30,000 And as we all know that fingers are not equal, in a developing community like KUSE it has not been easy at all. But, despite all challenges we are progressing significantly.
"The idea of Kuse end of the year and award ceremony is meant to be an annual event where all landlords and occupants home and in diaspora will come together to dialogue,on how to move kuse community forward.
"Lastly, We are appreciating God for His protection over our lives and properties, honoring members and non members of the community who has done beyond expectations or contributed specially in a unique way to the development and progress of the community.
"Let me also seize this opportunity to appreciate the present state Government of Osun under the leadership of Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for all the developmental strides that has taken place in Ido osun which impact is being felt in kuse community. (e.g Ido osun township road, Aje international market , osogbo Iwo road etc ) we hope for more social amenities that will make lives easier and better in our community come next year celebration by the special grace of God.
"Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to thank Oba Ogunlade olusanjo Moses ( Olu of Kuse) , good people of Kuse community development association, Kuse, Ido osun for the confidence reposed in us.. It’s our prayer that Kuse community will continue to soar and develop, forward ever and back ward never in Jesus might name (Amen). However, I must appeal to us to promote love, unity and peace. As we all know that, peace is the cornerstone of development.
"Most importantly, This year end of the year and award ceremony is targeted towards procurement of New Transformer and concrete electricity poles for the community. Therefore, I am appealing to all our invited Guests, recipients of awards and philanthropists to please contribute generously today to make this our dream a reality. the speech concluded.
