The Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, Debo Badru has attributed hope renewal and rekindled supportive interests demonstrated by the residents of Osun to Oyetola's performance as evidenced in his numerous records of achievements within three years of his administration.
Oyetola's Adviser gave this attribution yesterday in Osogbo while featuring on a weekly personality interview programme hosted by the publicity-service based organization, Ilerioluwa Vendors, on the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) Radio.
Speaking on the live broadcast, Badru commended Oyetola's resilience and commitment to formulation and implementation of people-oriented, problem-solving policies.
He described endorsements of Oyetola for continuity of his government by different associations, groups and communities within the state and beyond, including traditional rulers, as a testimony of the mandates of the people of Osun.
According to him, people had developed apathy toward government in the state as their dissatisfactions were obvious in their unfriendly, pessimistic dispositions to government activities, before Oyetola's assumption of governance.
"Before Oyetola's emergence as governor of the state, people had developed hatred toward the government, so much that they hurled curses on the machinery of the state government.
"But that has become a thing of the past, as Osun government now leverages on people's goodwill and support, resulting from the governor's good performance", Alhaji Badru said.
Speaking further on issues relating to Iwo and other areas of his political constituency, the Adviser disclosed the resolution of his constituents which he described as their "readiness to pay Oyetola back with massive votes" on his forthcoming re-election as a reciprocation of good done unto them.
