A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in the state of Osun, Hon Kehinde Akerele has reacted to the words of attack made by the former Governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Adebisi Akande and Governor Gboyega Oyetola, described it as uncalled for.
He made it known in a statement made available to the newsmen on Tuesday.
According to him,"It is unfortunate that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola will without conscience attack Asiwaju the way he did at ilesha yesterday, passing tirade jagaban borgu.
If Ogbeni had forgotten he need to be reminded of some positive things Allah swt had used Asiwaju to change the cause of his Life.
Asiwaju was not playing God when he made him commissioner for works in Lagos State for 8 years.
Another 7 years by proxy for the same position why the Osun case lasted.
Asiwaju uses his Allah given resources (intellect and money) to make sure the victory was achieved which VP Osinbajo confirmed in viral video describing doggedness and intellectual wizardry Asiwaju which makes it possible to reclaim the election victory on 26/11/2010.
Ogbeni should know that osun was not and will not be his conquered territory.
I see his vituperation as that of frustrated person trying to force a relevance.
He did all he had been doing because he knows that HE was not a politician.
Can he have done same thing for anyone of Otunba Omisore, Rt. Hon. Lasun Yussuff, Fatai Diekola, Adeoti as governor, definitely no.
Shehu that he carrying around said during his campaign as ADP governorship candidate that he will reverse obnoxious policies of Aregbesola if elected governor to people’s oriented policy.
Did Oyetola did beyond that, but rather he improved on his limited achievement which I expected someone that knows God to appreciate and support.
His show of force without provocation was nothing but an abuse office which Mr president should set up team to investigate while he is suspended from office to serve as deterrent to others.
This unprovoked shooting by his security aids in the state where he was once a Chief Security Officer is very distasteful and dishonoring for his current office whose major responsibility is ensuring internal peace and security of all part of the nation.
It is nothing but either lack of knowledge of his official responsibility or an abuse of office that must not be sweep under the carpet.
Osun indigenes home and diaspora will not fold their harms and allow the mad political crisis that happened in Imo State to happened in our dear peaceful State just because someone wants to force an expired recognition in the name of politics.
Let there be end to this madness.
It is undeniable fact that Ogbeni has right to support whomever he wishes to support without causing security crisis nor making inciteful statement.
Ogbeni was not the first nor the only former governor of the state.
Those that close to him and he listen to should caution him". Akerele said.
