The Osun State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr Bode Olaonipekun, has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun on his landslide victory at the just concluded Governorship Primary Election of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the state.
This was contained in a congratulatory statement made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital, the Commissioner quoted saying "the people know the person that truly serves them and have spoken in a clear voice and unmistakable terms."
He applauded the party faithful for voting massively to return the Governor Gboyega Oyetola as the candidate of the party for the July 16 governorship election in the state.
The governor who polled 222, 169 votes to defeat other two contenders, as the former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti 12, 921 votes and Former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon Lasun Yusuff polled 460 votes.
The Commissioner commended the party faithful for coming out en masse to elect the Governor as their preferred candidate of the party, assuring them that they have taken a right decision.
He expressed delight on the conduct of the primary election, which he described as one of the fairest, peaceful and credible elections that the country has ever had.
He also appeal to the people of the state to continue to cooperate with the government by demonstrating their love for the Governor and his administration as the governorship election is drawing nearer.
