An Aspirant for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Prof Ifemidayo Akinmoladun (PIA), has urged Christians to use Easter period for sober reflection on the virtues of love, selflessness, forgiveness, sacrifice and perseverance as examplified by Jesus Christ which he said are the hallmarks of Easter celebration.
In an Easter message through his Media office, the aspirant urged Christians to take advantage of the period and pray for God’s intervention amidst security challenges bedevilling the nation.
“There is no doubt that these are tough times in our country. Insecurity in almost every part of the country.
However, he said rather than succumb to the wishes of the evil doers and feel threatened about these uncertain times, Nigerians must rise to the fact that they are trials, and resolve to collectively confront the challenges.
“This moment calls for sober reflection and not fanfare, hence, I enjoin Christians to remain steadfast and fervent in prayers, for God to bring peace back to our land so that issues of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and all forms of insecurity will come to an end”, he said.
Akinmoladun wished the Christian faithful a successful and hitch free celebration while urging them to be security conscious and law abiding.
According to him, the feast of Easter is a yearly and a solemn celebration for Christians, it is the foundation of Christianity, characterized by the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for accepting to die on the cross for the sake of mankind.

The academician, thanked his Constituents for their sustained support to his ambition and Governor Gboyega Oyetola second term ambition. He assured that, he will continue to to help the masses and defend his constituent.
