The member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Osogbo State Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Works and Transport, Hon Engr Taofeek Olatunde Badamasi, has congratulated the Christians all over the world on the commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen today in Osogbo, the State Capital. the lawmaker urged christians to take advantage of the period and pray for God's intervention amidst security challenges bedeviling the nation.
According to him, "Let us with all gladsome mind, praise the lord for his kind and his mercies endureth forever. I am grateful for the mercies of God in our life and that of your family".
"This moment calls for sober reflection and not fanfare, hence, I enjoin christians to remain steadfast and fervent in prayers, for God to bring peace back to our land so that issues of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and all forms of insecurity will come to an end".
"The day of Easter reminds us of the new things that have arrived through the Resurrection of the Son of God. Easter reminds us of the fact that we need to be renewed in mind, body, and spirit. Easter reminds us of chastity and renewed vigour and hope".
"I pray that you and your family receive the immeasurable blessings of Easter on this amazing occasion". Badamasi said.
