Amotekun, NDLEA on a Sensitization Walk Against Drug Abuse in Osun

The Osun Western Security Network Agency codenamed as Amotekun Corps on Saturday 28th, May 2022 stage a walk round the metropolis of Osogbo to sensitized the youths  against drug Abuse, the program which was organized by E-Lion Adebayo in collaboration with Osun Amotekun Corps and NDLEA.

The walk was to sensitized the Youths and residents of the capital city on the side effects of using Hard Drugs.

In her lecture, NDLEA Director of Drugs Education, Mrs Efuha, applauded the governor of Osun State, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for established Amotekun Corps in the state, because the people at the grassroots are the only person that can handle security in the community, he also laud the achievements recorded so far by the corps within a short time, she appreciates the Amotekun Commanders, Isale-Osun Leaders and the convener of the program.

Efuha described drug Abuse as the act of using drugs wrongfully which can damage the system of the body, she urged the parents to take care of their children and enlightened them on the side effects of using Hard Drugs.

In his address, the representative of the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, the Special Assistant to Field Commander, Comrade Adejumo Michael, applauded the convener of the program, urged the convener next time to invite the Motorcycle riders because they are the most abuser of drugs.

He explained the side effects of using Hard Drugs and the damage caused to the body system of anyone addicted to it, he said that most of the people used Hard Drugs to do certain things in the society which at the end of the day will affect them negatively and can turn them otherwise.

He urged the Youths to shun drug Abuse and think about their future, because using Hard Drugs can destroy their future.

The Head of Isale-Osun Community, applauded the convener of the program for organized such a program that can change the Youths who are involved in Hard Drugs to change positively. He advised the Youths to shun using Hard Drugs and think positively about their future.

The convener of the program, E-Lion Adebayo appreciates the presence of the personnel of Osun Amotekun Corps, NDLEA officers, Isale-Osun Leaders and Youths, Journalists and Member of the public, urged them not to relent in sensitize the Youths in their environment on the side effects of using Hard Drugs.
