Ahead of Osun 2022 governorship election, as it is the tradition at Independent Mobilization Team(IMT) to collaborate with NGOs, Associations, and Individuals to win the forthcoming election for the Governor His Excellency Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, the group received the endorsement of the Governor by the Osun State Egbe Olowo under the leadership of Alhaja Nimotallahi Adepele, President Egbe Olowo.
. The association also pledged to carry out a campaign for his re-election because they believed in his government and the message of his manifesto as passed across to them by the IMT.
The Egbe Olowo joins other groups of workers and critical stakeholders in Osun who have thrown their weight behind Oyetola's second-term ambition and are ready to ensure the success of the Governor in the forthcoming election.
This is even as the Governor attributed his open endorsement to a challenge to do more for the people of the state.
The President of Egbe Olowo, Alhaja Adepele said the association decided to endorse Oyetola after assessing his remarkable and unprecedented achievements in the last three and half years.
Adele, described Oyetola as a man of outstanding leadership traits and professional know-how, adding that the association in particular and the state, in general, have benefited from these qualities in no small measure.
She commended the Governor for the exemplary way he has been piloting the affairs of Osun and appreciated his administration for the recognition accorded the association as critical stakeholders in the development of the state, stating that "it has never been this good."
The association President who highlighted several commendable projects undertaken by Oyetola said the association was resolute in ensuring that excellence is enthroned yet again.
Also speaking, the IMT Chairman, Dr. Afolabi Taofeeq A. (D.A.T.A), lauded Governor Oyetola for the good works he is doing to bring real development to the state. He also applauded the wife of Governor Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola for being supportive of the group and association in Osun.
Afolabi who described Oyetola's administration as one that cares for all, reiterated the group and association's commitment to work for his return to office come July 16th, 2022.
According to him,
"It is said that winning begins with starting well and making progress in the right direction. we marked another milestone in our campaign for secured votes.
"As it is our tradition at Independent Mobilization Team(IMT) to collaborate with NGOs, Associations, and individuals to win the forthcoming election for the Governor His Excellency Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola.
"Not only was the Governor endorsed but also the Association pledged to carry out a campaign for his re-election because they believed in his government and the message of his manifesto as passed across to them by the IMT.
"With their endorsement, it is no doubt that over 150,000 votes are secured with them. Using the multiplier effect of family and close allied campaign strategy, it is no doubt that another 50,000 votes or more is won from them.
"As we celebrate this, we urge other groups under the umbrella of our great Party APC to emulate IMT in their campaign strategy. At IMT we don't wait till the deadline date to carry our campaign, we have the message and we pass it across to the people. We believe in the power of the people and we give the people a sense of belonging knowing that with this, no amount of vote buying can convince a mind so determined on where to go.
"We at IMT have been able to achieve this great feat and several others with little resources within our disposal. I use this medium to urge Mr. Governor, His Excellency to support us in providing all necessary resources needed to carry out our campaign as we promised the people.
"Let me also appreciate the first lady of the state, the wife of the governor Alhaja kafayat Oyetola Oyetola for her unending support and her presence at the endorsement program. We appreciate you ma and we hope to have more of your support for IMT.
"I will end my speech with these words,
The election will be live. The victory will be resounding. And where will you be? Will you be in the victory pictures being beamed around the state, or watching at home in your comfortable seat, just as you have watched everything else, including your ability to convince someone to vote, passing you by? Winning isn’t the responsibility of others. It’s yours. Making the state a comfortable place for us all is our collective effort.
Every great political campaign rewrites the rules; you don't have to go the old and 'usual' way, devising a new way to win is what gives campaigns a comparative advantage against their foes.
Let us do it together. Together we can. Yes, we sure can". Afolabi said.
In her response, the wife of Governor Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola commended the association of Egbe Olowo for the open show of support for the governor's Administration.
She assured that the administration of governor Gboyega Oyetola would continue to invest in human and infrastructural development for the benefit of different associations in the state.
The wife of the governor who described the endorsement as a manifestation of good governance that the administration of governor oyetola has provided since inception noted that she would not take it for granted but rather see it as an encouragement to do more for the generality of the people of the state.
