As Muslims around the world celebrate this year's Eid-el-Adha, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Hon Adeyeye Adeyemi Akinson has congratulated the Muslims faithful in the State, across the country, and in the Diaspora on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha.
He made this known in a statement made available to the newsmen in Ibokun, describing the Eid-el-Adha as a special occasion.
Adeyeye Akinson who emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Adha in strengthening the bond that binds humans together advised all Muslims to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice, humility, and perseverance as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed and the need for people to observe personal health and safety rules during the celebration.
He, therefore, charged residents with the need to support the re-election bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola based on his performance within three and half years in office.
He reiterated the commitment of the present administration headed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola to work tirelessly towards the progress of the state and the wellbeing of the people, especially the less privileged.
While wishing the good people of the state and indeed all Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Adha celebration, Olaonipekun charged residents and especially Muslims to use the opportunity of the occasion to engage in more prayers and also in acts of love, especially by reaching out to the less privileged.
He wishes all Muslims Allah's blessings, guidance, and protection during this period of Eid-el-Adha celebration and after.
