On the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Osun Western Security Network code-named, "Amotekun Corps" enjoined all Nigerians to take advantage of the celebration to supplicate for enhanced peace, security, and progress of the State and country.
The Corps, which emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Kabir in strengthening the bond that binds the nation together, also urged Nigerians to embrace the virtues of love, charity, and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
The state of our security outfit in its Sallah Message made available to newsmen in Osogbo the state capital, by the Corps Spokesperson Yusuf Idowu, felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the state, and entire residents of Osun, home and abroad and other Muslim faithful while wishing them the guidance and blessings of Allah.
According to the Corps, "this season calls for forgiveness and love for one another and there is a need for Nigerians to be united and be their brother’s keeper despite all odds.
The Corps added, “As you engage in the celebrations of the Sallah, please remember to be security conscious in your vicinity".
He reiterated the commitment of Osun Amotekun Corps to tackle crime in the State, he urged the general public not to abhor criminals but they should expose them on time to security agencies before they start terrorizing the residents of the state.
The Osun Amotekun Corps wishes all Nigerians a peaceful and pleasant celebration and used the medium to admonish every Muslim as they celebrate the annual festival to remember those who are in need by extending their complete love to them in all ramifications while they should all be law-abiding before, during and after the festival.
