*DECLARATION OF INTENT TO RUN FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CHAIRMAN, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS(JCC), OSUN STATE AXIS*

Leadership is the ability of an individual or a group of individuals to influence and guide followers or other members of an organization.
In the words of Martin Luther King Jr "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?"
It is on this premise that I Akande Michael, O Popularly and politically baptized as Action, a Student of Business administration at the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree hereby declares my intention to run for the office of the Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Students, Joint Campus Committee(NANS JCC) Osun State Axis.
My intent is borne out of selfless love and a desire to impact the lives of Nigerian Students.
As someone who has been to almost 30 states in Nigeria in the course of my involvement in many national struggles, My focal point will be to change the narrative, expand the scope of Leadership and bring out the best In Nigeria, and more importantly Osun Students through my leadership.
Over the years I have served in various capacities such as Chairman, Students Union Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Media Director at the office of NANS Financial Secretary National, Coordinator of Voices Against Rape & Sexual Harassment Foundation, Ospoly Club, I am a Member of Leadheart Initiative, Chartered Institute of Personal Management, Amnesty International, Yali Network, Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria, Walter Rodney Foundation amongst others. I am also the Director of Finance and boards of directors secretary for Voices Against Rape & Sexual Harassment Foundation to mention a few among many.
I have also made consultations with all stakeholders particularly Osun Students and this has made me come up with this encompassing mandate which includes;
📌 Ensuring the safety of Students and protection from any oppression.
📌 Seeking synergy with the Government to ensure the smooth running of the education system in the State.
📌 Promoting peace and love in the amongst the students in the State.
📌 Facilitating international programs for the development of Students and also facilitation of Grants and scholarships for students to complete their education at the tertiary level.
📌 Creation of opportunities to generate Stable IGR for the association.
Given my vast experience in the field of struggle, I strongly believe that I will deliver to the Nigerian students with my capacity and ability because I have all it takes to lead them.
I am full of opportunities to offer the students be it at the local level, State level, National level, and international level. I am also connected with many progressive organizations that will help students have a better life.
Moving forward we all must partake in building the NANS we all clamoring for.
In conclusion, it is imperative to understand that I, Akande Michael, O will prioritize the welfare of students above other interests--be it personal interests or others. I will not disappoint you if given the mandate.
