The suspects who have been terrorizing the Osun residents by stealing the livestock and transporting it to sell in Lagos State, the luck ran against them after perpetrating the act and heading to Lagos with a commercial vehicle and were apprehended by the corps.
They were alleged to have committed various offenses ranging from conspiracy and stealing.
The duo confessed to having committed the alleged crimes during an investigation by stealing 56 goats in less than a month and selling them to their sister named Mrs. Oladipupo, A.K.A. "Mama E" in Lagos who always gave them #10000 after their trip.
It was also gathered that Mrs. Oladipupo "Mame E" who lives in the Mile 12 area of Lagos State bought him an MPV Mazda Car purposely for the job.
Speaking to a journalist at the parade, the field commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu said the suspects were arrested at different locations after perpetrating the act by stealing 18 goats in Osogbo and transporting them to Lagos state to sell and the other one Usman Baba was apprehended after burgled a building in Ilesa.
"The suspects confessed to have been in the act for so many years and always disguised as a transporter and the duo sister bought them Mazda MPV purposely to carryout the livestock stealing assignment, but the lock ran against them after perpetrating the act, they have successfully stolen 56 goats and sold it in Lagos.
"The motorcycles seen here today were apprehended by the corps from some people who hide the motorcycles under their goods, like Onion, Beans, pepper, and others, and the investigation revealed the motorcycles were stolen.
"The communities should allow us to do our work by not interfering when we are doing our work, I also appeal to lawyers who invariably appear in the command before the finding of our investigation to allow to allows the corps to do her work before appearing for their clients.
"I appreciate the Amotekun Oyo State Command and Ondo State Amotekun for their support and their tenacity to build an undiluted relationship with us in Osun command and I also extend appreciation to the Osun State Command of DSS, especially their Director and DC Kanayo Kanayo of the Police Osun State CID for their support and encouragement so far to the corps"
"We do not take anything that has to do with securing the lives of people and property lightly. We rapidly work on any piece of information that concerns security to ascertain whether it is genuine or not.
"After cross-examination by our men, we will transfer them to other confessional security for subsequent interrogation and prosecution". Shittu said.
He urged the inhabitants to reveal criminals in their neighborhoods to the Amotekun corps to curb crime in society.
