We hereby write on behalf of the good people of Osunjela aakumosa west Local Govt Area The good people of Osunjela use this medium to show our dissatisfaction with IBEDC on the light Osunjela is located to Osogbo and ilesa going by distance between ere two towns, osunjela than ilesa. Osogbo to osunjela is less than 1km to ilesa is averagely km while we have our by ilesa meaning we are connected to ilesa.
As a matter of fact the distance is seriously affecting the Constant and accurate supply of light ( power ) to the town, Most time tree fall on the wire, mud affects the pole water nd bush dislodge the IBEDC Ilesa Business Hub staff from tracing the affected wire to this effect for months we will be in total darkness and this is affecting life and property, to this effect So many industries have move out the town and the remaining are folding up on daily basis to the exhusbitant cost of powering generator In petrol and diesel.
About 7 years ago we Cried out on this same topic we write some letters to IBEDC and we had series of meeting with the top official efficient promised us then that work is going on bringing the poles out to the Main Road but till now ( 7 years we haven't seen any progress on fracture and the most painful part of this is we keep paying for power we are not supplied and this is sadding the heart of every one of us. This was what lead us to the peaceful protest we had on the 23rd of Sept 2022 by blocking the main Road that links the two towns to show our grievances but despite all our requests and agitation, we haven't seen anyone and IBEDC come up with Bill for it to be a paid. And osunjela is known for Peace and we are still maintaining that but we are being pushed and we don't want to be Pushed to the wall.
This is why the community generally is pleading with IBEDC Osun Business Hub to please facilitate our request as fast as possible. OSUNJELA ATAKUMOSA WEST still maintains the stand that says. IBEDC DISCONNECT US FROM ILESA AND CONNECT US TO OSOGBO.
