Oriaye Compound Osogbo Holds Annual Day and Prayers

A compound in Osogbo, Oriaye Compound on Saturday 29th October, 2022 held its annual Oriaye Day and Prayers where the sons and daughters of the compound gathered to pray for the Progress and Development of the Compound and also celebrate with one another.

This year's Annual Day Celebration was grace by the sons and daughters of Oriaye Compound who are far and near.

When speaking at the event, the Chief Imam of Afenifere Central Mosque Osogbo, Imam Yakub Afenifere in his sermon, lauds the sons and daughters of the compound for deeming it fit to come together to organize the event to enhance the unity and love for the compound. 

He urged other compounds to emulate the Oriaye compound Osogbo to build genuine love for one another and this generated progress and development for society.

In his words, Alhaji Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, appreciate the sons and daughters of the compound for showing love to one another which has helped everyone to come together to achieve the desired goals, he commended them for not neglecting their origin and urged them not to relent in supporting and contributing to the development and progress of the compound and Osogbo in general. 

Kamarudeen Yusuf also used the event to appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and the Ataoja of Osogboland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye II) for appointing one of the sons of the compound as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti State, Dr. Adeniran Tella, he speaks further that their joy has to know bound with the appointment and they will forever appreciate those who make the appointment possible for the supportive son of the compound. He also said they always remembered the late Sen. Bayo Salami for his contributions to the compound before his demise and they are joyous today because they have another person Dr. Tella Adeniran who has followed in his footsteps. He lauds the security agents attached to the REC for protecting their son from danger.
