Operatives of Osun Amotekun corps have arrested a young man, Surajudeen Isiaka for stealing iron sheets at Obalende, Osogbo.
He was apprehended on Sunday midnight after robbing the residents of Obalende Community, the amotekun operatives swing into action after the attention of Amotekun was called to it by the resident of the community, which make the Amotekun operatives to lay ambush for him and led to his arrest.
Confirming the arrest to newsmen on Monday in Osogbo, the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi described the arrested criminal as a notorious criminal who has been terrorizing the residents of obalende community of Osogbo and its environs.
"There was a request of Amotekun operatives to assist the people of Obalende community on the utterance of the unknown gunmen that always invade the community and carted away their belongings in the middle of the night and our men tried and laid an ambush in the community and that what led to the arrest of Surajudeen".
"During cross-examination, he admitted to being in the act for a very long time and he has been stolen from the community". Adewinmbi said.
He later warned the criminal elements to stay out of Osun or face the consequences they will never forget in their life.
The culprit has been transferred to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
