Amotekun arrests two men For stealing in Osogbo



The joint Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps patrol team of Osogbo and Olorunda Command on Wednesday midnight apprehended suspected criminals, Babangida Aliu, 37, and Nairu Alimi, 23 who specialize in burgling the houses of the inhabitants of Sabo Osogbo and its environment. 


They were arrested in the midnight of Wednesday by joint patrol team of Amotekun corps Osogbo and Olorunda Command after they have perpetrated the act and planned to run away before luck ran against them and were apprehended.


Confirming the arrest to the newsmen on Thursday in Osogbo, the corps commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the culprits were arrested by the joint operatives of Osogbo and olorunda during their night routine patrol at midnight on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023.


"Our operatives arrested the felon during their routine patrol along Sabo Road after they burgled the house of the residents of the area and they were trying to escape after perpetrating the act before luck ran against them and were apprehended.


"Upon the investigation, they confessed to have been stealing for a very long time from the area and its environs". Adewinmbi said.


The culprits have been transferred to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
