A philanthropist and the House of Representatives Candidate of the APC for Olorunda, Irepodun, Orolu, Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon Abosede Afolabi-Kasumu Ogo-Oluwa has said that her ambition was purposely to serve the entire people of Osogbo Federal Constituency diligently and change the narratives of representation for better and robust one by ensuring quality and effective representation of the most populated and largest Federal Constituency in Osun.
Abosede assured good people of Osogbo Federal Constituency that meaningful empowerment programmes that will create wealth, job opportunities and alleviate poverty as well as equitably and harmoniously sharing of dividends of democracy for the betterment of all and sundry will be her utmost priority if mandate is given to her in the general elections..
She made this known on Monday in a radio programme tagged "Oyato" anchored by Akikunmi Alabi on Fresh FM, Osogbo, adding that if she get elected into the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, social welfare for the aged, youths and women empowerment programmes that will create job opportunities and alleviate poverty as well as unprecedented developmental projects in all nooks and crannies of Osogbo Federal Constituency will be given utmost priority.
This was contained in a statement issued from Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa Media Office and made available to Pressmen on Monday in Osogbo, the state capital, noting that those that still believe that women belong to the kitchen and the inner room alone should change their mindset and understand that women are care givers in all ramifications.
MHR hopeful opined that people of Osogbo Federal Constituency had been denied quality and adequate representation at the lower Chambers of the National Assembly, which she promised to correct as soon as the mandate is given.
According to Abosede Ogo-Oluwa, "I am in the race to give more back to the society, because, through Abosede Ogo-Oluwa KAS Foundation, we have been giving back to the society for the past 10 years, and my desire is to be part of a new political orientation that is firmly rooted in serving the people, advancing their prosperity and addressing our monumental challenges. I can boldly say that what is there in my blueprint for our people of Osogbo Federal Constituency is unusual developmental projects and the yearnings of our people would receive adequate attention".
The MHR hopeful also explained that she will take representation of Osogbo Federal Constituency to the highest level of development and it is going to be a responsible government and unprecedented representation, emphasizing that, entire people of Olorunda, Irepodun, Orolu, Osogbo Federal Constituency will enjoy dividends of democracy to the fullest if elected.
She explained further that the Abosede Ogo-Oluwa KAS Foundation has been taking caring of senior citizens, widows, people living with disabilities, Orphans and the less privileged people for the past 10 years using her personal money, if given the mandate to represent Osogbo Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, dividends of democracy will be experienced by all and sundry and in all nooks and crannies of Osogbo Federal Constituency.
"Abosede Ogo-Oluwa KAS Foundation is non-governmental and non-profit making, if we can organized and sponsored football competition and Talent Hunt Show successfully, no stone will be left unturned in terms of youths and women empowerment as well as taking caring of aged, orphans and people living with disabilities".
"As a philanthropist, I derived a lots of joy in putting smiles on the faces of people, and it has been part of me and my believe is that politics is all about selfless service to humanity by delivering dividends of democracy to the people and people alone".
"As you all know that women of dignity don't betray, as a woman of dignity, I promise to deliver the entire people of Osogbo Federal Constituency from political enslavement and misrepresentation", Abosede Ogo-Oluwa said.
Abosede Ogo-Oluwa explained further, "the time has come and gone where member of the House of Representatives will be running from their responsibilities, bitterly complaining and lamenting with constituents instead of bringing them out of lamentations. I promise to change the narratives and will be more accessible to my constituents if elected".
"We all know that every politics is local. Our people know those in the race and they also know that am the only woman, and women are care givers. Apart from this, women of dignity don't betray, I will not disappoint anyone. Our people knew my biological father and I can not afford to tarnish the image of the name am using, "Ogo Oluwakitan". Besides, i am the most competent, qualified and well prepared for the job, am well connected with lobbying capacity to facilitate meaningful empowerment programmes and other dividends of democracy to our people in Osogbo Federal Constituency".
Hon. Abosede Afolabi-Kasumu Ogo-Oluwa, a philanthropist and direct daughter of late Pa Joseph Afolabi Ogo Oluwakitan. She is a responsible wife of an entrepreneur, Chief Ademola Kasumu, adding that she got her husband's consent to contest and he had given her a go ahead with full support to show that she is a responsible wife to her husband and mother to her children.
"We can not continue to do the same thing the same way and expect a different result, this is the time for a change in narratives and ideas, as a responsible woman, I have come with best and fresh ideas and approach and the best ways of doing things in a way that will bring purposeful representation with feedback to the stakeholders in Osogbo Federal Constituency".
Hon Abosede therefore enjoined the entire people of Olorunda Irepodun Orolu Osogbo Federal Constituency, especially women, youths, senior citizens and people living with disabilities to support her aspiration to become a reality by trooping out en masse and massively vote for Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa as member, House of Representatives to represent Osogbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, as well as voting for other candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming general elections.
