Barely few days to the general elections, diverse communities, groups, Trade Unions, market men and women including ethnic groups as well as Indigenes of Osogbo and Olorunda local government have resolved and unanimously endorsed the most prepared and competent House of Representatives Candidate of the APC, Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa for the House of Representatives.
They made their support known yesterday when Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa campaign train visited Isale Osun and some other communities in Osogbo as well as Olorunda local government areas.
This was contained in a statement issued from Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa Media Office and made available to Pressmen on Monday in Osogbo the state capital.
Speaking, the Secretary General of Isale Osun Community, Mr Yekini Liasu recalled the various contributions to the development of Osogbo made by Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa's biological father, late Pa Joseph Afolabi Ogo Oluwakitan as well as youths and women empowerment programmes embarked upon by Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa herself using her personal money.
The secretary also recalled how Pa Joseph Afolabi Ogo Oluwakitan helped him and numerous Osogbo Indigenes secured jobs in Lagos without interview in the 80s.
He called on youths, women, senior citizens and all well-meaning people of Osogbo and Olorunda to avoid and shun politics of bitterness, sectionalism, nepotism, sentiment and frivolous agenda and vote massively for the best candidate, Hon Abosede Afolabi-Kasumu Ogo-Oluwa for the betterment of all and sundry in Osogbo Federal Constituency.
Various speakers spoke about the philanthropic gestures and humane nature of Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa and how her non-governmental and non profit making Abosede Ogo-Oluwakitan KAS Foundation has been positively impacted on the lives of the people of Osogbo Federal Constituency long before her current political jostling.
Also speaking, Hon Adelakun Andrew Adeoye said that people of Osogbo and Olorunda should, as a matter of necessity, shun any frivolous agenda and vote massively for Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa, adding that any alternative to Abosede Ogo-Oluwa is suicidal.
According to him, "a time will surely come when Osogbo Indigene will be picked as a governorship candidate and the issue of "Osogbo agenda" will not be useful for us to achieve our aim", Hon Adelakun said.
Former Deputy Speaker, Hon Adegboye Akintunde said, "We must ensure that the criteria for voting any person are based on good character, capacity, competence, knowledge, exposure, connections with high level of commitments and lobbying capacity to facilitate job opportunities and unprecedented developmental projects to Osogbo Federal Constituency for the betterment of all and sundry, and I believe that only Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa possessed all aforementioned qualities and criteria, let's vote massively for her", Hon Adegboye said.
Recalled that an Osogbo Indigene who is also the Labour Party (LP) Candidate, Abu Jihad, recently said on radio programme that, "Osogbo cannot afford to lose Senate ticket for the House of Representatives ticket and Osogbo can not take the two, because, no local government is considered big or small in the constitution and Osogbo Federal Constituency can not stand without Irepodun and Orolu local government".
When the campaign train got to Ilie, in Olorunda local government, the crowd was also mammoth as party members supporters and sympathizers were on ground dancing and singing to receive the House of Representatives Candidate of the APC, Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa.
While speaking, the leader and Chairperson of the council, Hon Felicia Omolaoye said that there is no doubt that Hon Abosede Afolabi-Kasumu Ogo-Oluwa was the type of political leader they need in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly to represent Osogbo Federal Constituency given her selfless leadership qualities and philanthropic gestures.
The ethnic groups comprising of Arewa community, Igbo, Fulani, Egede and Gara people living in Olorunda, Irepodun, Orolu, Osogbo Federal Constituency have also drummed their unalloyed support for the House of Representatives Candidate of the APC, noting that she is the best among other candidates.
Speaking on behalf of ethnic groups, Alh Bala Idris said that Abosede Ogo-Oluwa has been doing wonderfully well with her personal money, if mandate is given to her, she will perform better than others.
Hon Abosede Afolabi-Kasumu Ogo-Oluwa, while speaking, promised not to take the endorsement and support given for granted, adding that she will continue to impact positively on the lives of her constituents, both in her personal capacity and in her official duties when she assumes office in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.
Hon Abosede Ogo-Oluwa implored the entire people of Osogbo Federal Constituency to continue canvass support and massively vote for all APC candidates in the general elections for the betterment of all and sundry.
