APC Switzerland Chairman, Alfonso visits Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland*

The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Switzerland Chapter, Hon. Adebayo Alfonso on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland, His Excellency Amb. Baba Magudu where they discussed issues on the development and progress of Nigeria.

The Chairman applauded the ambassador for representing the Nigerian well in Switzerland.

He also commends the ambassador for being so passionate about the welfare of the Nigerians, and he constantly gets updates from those residing in Switzerland about their connection to Nigerians and inclusiveness in people affairs. 

He described the All Progressive Congress as a party that has a proven track record in good governance and the development of Nigeria.

"Our party has the vision and skills to take the country to the next level. The party has achieved greatly in the last eight years in the saddle of leadership in the country and it played out during the governorship elections in Lagos State where the masses voted en mass for the party Candidate Governor Babajide Sanwoolu despite the forces of the opposition in the state".

"Our party presents decent and skilled candidates that can make the dividend of democracy accessible to the masses during the just concluded elections."

"The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) should be commended for organizing free and fair elections, which will help in strengthening Nigeria's democracy," he added.

He urged those who are not pleased with the conduct of the election to approach the court rather than organize activities that could bring Nigeria's democracy to the state of comatose.

He also reaffirmed the ambassador of his commitment to continue working together for strengthening the partnership with the Swiss-Nigeria Chambers of Commerce and other major players in the private sector to increase trade between Nigeria and Switzerland.

In his reaction, the Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland, His Excellency Amb. Baba Magudu appreciate the APC Switzerland Chapter Chairman for his visit; he also applauded the chairman for working assiduously for the progress of the party in the country.  He urged him not to relent in taking the party to a greater height in no distant time in Switzerland.

He reaffirms his commitment to supporting the Nigerians in Diaspora, especially those residing in Switzerland, and is ready to strengthen the collaboration and partnership in the new administration.
